I received the book, Falling from Emma by Alix Nichols as a review copy as a part of the Njkinny’s Tours and Promotions. It is one of the books of the Bistro La Boheme series set in the same Bistro in Paris as the previous two books.
A short 55 page book, it deals with a musician, Cyril, who has lost his vision following an accident and his on again and off again girlfriend’s sister, a girl who has been in love with him since she was thirteen years old. His girlfriend Geraldine, says that she is not Mother Teresa, and leaves him. Her sister Emma, whom he used to call Boney Em and never really noticed, comes to the café, and presents herself as Laura. His parents and his friends are very nice and helpful.
My take:
I loved the story, it was short and sweet. The location was the same and so was the characters, of the café. The chapters of the book have been divided by the names of the characters from whose point of view the story has been written. The language is simple and the flow is good.
Alix is happy to announce that the book which is already FREE on kobo, iTunes and Nook is now also FREE on Amazon. Please share the news with your readers.
