The Extraordinarily Ordinary Life of Cassandra Jones (Walker Wildcats Year 1) Episode 3: Road Trip by Tamara Hart Heiner and illustrated by Elisa Allan

road_tripI received the third book of the series The Extraordinarily Ordinary Life of Cassandra Jones (Walker Wildcats Year 1) Episode 3: Road Trip by Tamara Hart Heiner and illustrated by Elisa Allan as a review copy from the author herself. This series is about eleven year old Cassandra Jones and has six episodes.

The blurb:

Cassandra’s family decides to take a trip to Disney World, and Cassie can hardly wait! But things start to go wrong on the drive to Florida when her family’s van breaks down. They take a detour to her cousin’s house, where Cassie discovers that having a crazy family might be one of the best things about her.

The story:

In the first episode, eleven year old Cassandra or Cassie moved from Arizona to Arkansas with her family and got enrolled in a new school in fifth grade and made two best friends Danelle and Riley. In the second episode, Cassie and her friends plan to form their own Babysitters Club similar to the one in the book.

In this episode the family takes a trip to Georgia and Florida and Disney World, Florida.

My take:

The author has described the road trip in details and how Cassie being the eldest child is responsible for many things. The description of Disney World is detailed an I felt I was there with the Joneses.

The author has thought like an eleven year old when describing Cassie’s feelings. Emotions like friendship, sibling rivalry, jealousy have been described in the book.

I loved the book and now I shall move on to the next book of the series.

DISCLAIMER: I received the book as a review copy from the author in exchange for an honest review. I have not received any monetary compensation for the same.
