Finders, Keepers by Chloe Holiday

I received Finders, Keepers by Chloe Holiday as a review copy from the author and I am thankful to her for the same.

The blurb:

Convinced her boyfriend is cheating, free-spirited Farrah flees a holiday party and dodges into a bar where straitlaced Caleb indulges in one drink. Charmed, she goes home with him, but her boyfriend’s later texts persuade her she was mistaken. Horrified by what she’s done, she sneaks out in the night, leaving Caleb with a single mitten …

A fast, fun stand-alone novella of 34,000 words, Finders, Keepers is a sexy modern Cinderella story with a dash of humor, plenty of spice, and NO CLIFFHANGERS!

The story:

Farrah Day works as an assistant at Global Marketing Services and loves to make soaps and candles with scented geraniums. Maybe, one day, she can make a real go with that because she is not cut out for a cubicle.

One evening, she realizes that her boyfriend is cheating. So, she walks away from the party to a bar where she meets Caleb Hirsch, an architecture student. Caleb takes her to his house, and the next morning, her boyfriend’s message persuades her to come back to him. And she forgets her mitten there.

Caleb is shocked to find her missing, but when he sees her mitten, he starts looking for her.

My take:

Having read the second book of the series, I really wanted to read Farrah’s story. This book is not part one of the story as we get glimpses of the next book in this one as well.

The story is simple, well written, and a fast paced read. The characters are realistic, well developed, and interesting. The author has portrayed the feelings of both Farrah and Caleb.

Waiting to read the final book in the series.
