The Secrets of Ghostwriting by D. R Downer

51kDONPeZsL.jpgI received The Secrets of Ghostwriting by D. R Downer as a review copy from the author. This book is the third in The Writer’s Toolkit series published by The Bookclub.

The blurb:

A guide that will tell you everything there is to know about the big, bad, mysterious, and often misunderstood world of Ghostwriting.

My take:

As Rubina has rightly mentioned in the note at the beginning of the book, D R Downer, a person who does not reveal his identity or face, is the right person to write on this topic. An author of 27 books, of which only 12 have his name.

As he has mentioned in the book, this is like being a surrogate author for the book and having no attachment for the same.

He talks about what Ghostwriting is, why it is done, why would a writer chose to remain a ghost and how to avoid getting swindled. How it talks about ethics and how to become a ghostwriter. He also talks about the various things that ghostwriting is done for: books, articles, essays, webcontent, memoirs, blog posts, white papers, Corporate MarCom material etc.

The author has written the book in simple English which is easy to understand and follow.

DISCLAIMER: I received the book as a review copy from the author in exchange for an honest review. I have not received any monetary compensation for the same.
