I received a copy of The Mouse Charmers: Digital Pioneers of India by Anuradha Goyal courtesy Indibloggers programme and would like to thank them for the same. A book written after conducting an exhaustive research, it has been divided into three Cs- Commerce, Content and Connectors. The Foreword for the book has been written by Sam Pitroda.
She has documented the tales of the first generation Indian companies. In Commerce, she has detailed about four ecommerce companies- Flipkart, Nakemytrip, Bigbasket and Caratlane; in Content, she has described Zomato, Games2win, Imagesbazaar and Chaiwithlakshmi and in Connectors, she has described, Shaadi and Rangde.
She has spoken to the entrepreneurs, researched the net and revealed the nitty grittys of the business which we thought as consumers was just a click away. It made me realize that all this was so difficult to put together with such perseverance and dedication. Each chapter has a detailed table at the end describing the vital statistics of the company being described.
The language is simple and I feel that budding entrepreneurs would definitely benefit from the book.
