Legal Bond by Nithya Sashi is a light read which can easily be read in between two heavy books. I used this book as a spacer and believe me, it helped lightening my mood. It is the story of Maya Anand and Ravi Subramaniam.
Maya Anand, 23, the daughter of Real Estate businessman, Anand Krishnan has been brought up to believe that women should be financially independent and courageous. She has a degree in literature, is a voracious reader and wants to pursue a career in writing. She is friends with her mother and hates cooking much to her mother’s disappointment.
Ravi Subramaniam, 30, the son of Anand’s friend, Suresh look after Suresh’s business both in India and the UK. Suresh had adopted him after the death of his wife and infant son in a plane crash. They return to Chennai from the UK and plan to settle down there.
Suresh and Anand want Maya and Ravi to get married and after the consent of the children decide on a wedding date two months hence. Maya takes up a freelance assignment.
But fate intervenes in the form of Durga Reddy, Ravi’s ex-girlfriend and Maya has her doubts about Durga’s present status in Ravi’s life?
